Every trader often faces a common problem that they regret about
their exit price. after exiting the trade, the stock has started another rally
and traders regret why they have exited from the stock. Many veteran traders have
faced the same issue.
Almost all the traders want to buy at a lowest price and sell at a
highest price. Traders argue that buying at lowest price could be treated as
risk as the trend reversal has not started yet and there is no confirmation
that there will be a reversal after that price. Agreed.......
But what about the selling? How do you identify the highest price to sell?
Some traders believe that you cannot take the whole rally and make an
extremely good profit. Accept whatever you are getting from the market and be
thankful. That's okay....
Now, the question is at which price we can sell?
Before selling any stock in intraday, you just need to check the
following points.
- Nearest exponential pivot
point.
- Nearest round figure of the
price.
- Nearest resistance (short
term and long Term)
- Always look on the
percentage of the stock movement.
Always choose those points and try to understand the price action on
those points accordingly you can sell. For example, if there is an aggressive
buying happening at any point check how much percentage the stock has been up?
If it is in between 4-5%, try to choose the round figure price point (example
2200, 2250, 3000, 3050, 3100 etc)
Suppose there is an aggressive buying and the stock is moving towards a
pivot point but the point is very near and there is no round figure price
point, you can expect a pause of the movement on that pivot point or a
retracement and then there will be another rally till its next pivot
point.
Sometimes it may happen that a particular stock is crawling slowly with
a big volume and with little price fluctuation, on that case the stock may
cross all of its pivot points and gives 7-10% rally. Be aware of those
movement.
All the exit points should be selected on the basis of the price action
and the nature of the buying activity, keeping in mind the above points.
I hope, if you do so you will be able to exit properly.
